What is Isla Blanca?
Isla Blanca is an island located in the Mexican Caribbean, right on the coastline of the tourist corridor of Costa Mujeres, bordering the lagoon of Cancun.
This island is one of the few virgin beaches that survive in the Riviera Maya, since in the area you will not find large constructions or too many tourists or hustle and bustle, which makes it the ideal place to visit and disconnect from the noise of the city.
How to get to Isla Blanca?
Getting to Isla Blanca is very easy and will only take you 1 hour from Cancun or 1 hour and a half from Isla Mujeres. There are two easy ways to get there:
- By public transportation: From the terminal located in Cancun, on Lopez Portillo Avenue, you will take a bus that will take you to the end of Isla Blanca. There are only three departure times per day (7 am, 11 am, and 4 pm), so plan your trip in advance.
- By car or rented car: This option is the most recommended since you can move more freely to reach this earthly paradise, located at the end of Costa Mujeres. After passing the Riu Dunamar hotel, you will find a totally secure parking lot with a cost of $100 MXN or $5 USD and you will notice that the road closes to lead to a dirt road, through which you will access Isla Blanca.

Now you have arrived at paradise on earth! The first thing you will notice is an impressive landscape that you will not find anywhere else in the world, and you will be able to enjoy a breathtaking view of turquoise waters.
